In Development9 to 5: A History of Canadian Office WorkersThis new permanent exhibit at WAHC will focus on the history of Canadian office workers and will be punctuated by artifacts, images, text and interactive multi-media. Gender roles, the effects of technology, and the portrayal of workers in popular culture will be main themes. Proposed Building Trades ProjectThis exhibit and accompanying educational/interpretive kit will be designed to travel and will assemble easily. Punctuated by video, dioramas, artifacts, images, and text, the history of the building trades will be illustrated in one comprehensive exhibit. A graphic mural will pay tribute to all areas of the building and construction trades. We have very strong support from the building and construction trades themselves who are eager to see their rich history displayed across the country. The exhibit will be in both French and English.
